12 Jyothir Linga Shrines of Lord Shiva
The 12 Jyothirlinga Shrines, where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Jyothirlingam, are held in great reverence by all Hindus. Associated with many legend from the Puranas, these temples are spread out all over India, with the southernmost being at Rameswaram and northernmost at Kedarnath.

- Omkareshwara near Mortakka in Madhya Pradesh

- Tryambakeswrara near Nasik in Maharashtra
- Grishneshwara near Aurangabad in Maharashtra
- Ramanatheswara at Rameswaram in Tamilnadu
- Baidynath Dham at Deogarh in Bihar
- Mallikarjuna in Srisailam, near Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh
- Kedarnatheshwara near Rishikesh in Uttaranchal
- Vishweshwara at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh
